ProtaRes — Intelligent Emergency Response Coordination Platform
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ProtaRes mobile application ("the App") operated by ProtaRes Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in the United Kingdom.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
ProtaRes is an emergency response coordination platform that connects trained responders to nearby emergencies. The App facilitates communication and coordination between responders, witnesses, and emergency services.
ProtaRes is NOT a medical device. The App does not provide clinical advice, diagnose conditions, or recommend treatments. It is a coordination and communication platform only. Responders act as Good Samaritans and use their own professional judgement when providing assistance.
ProtaRes does NOT replace 999. Always call 999 (or your local emergency number) in an emergency. ProtaRes supplements the emergency services response — it does not replace it.
To use the App, you must:
You may register using an email address and password, or by signing in with Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as needed.
Responders are classified into four tiers based on verified qualifications:
You must only provide genuine credentials. Submitting false or fraudulent credentials is a criminal offence and will result in immediate account termination and referral to the relevant authorities.
Your credential tier determines which emergencies you are alerted to and which interventions you are authorised to perform within the App. You must not exceed the scope of your tier.
When responding to an emergency through the App, you agree to:
When you set your status to "on duty", the App tracks your location to match you with nearby emergencies. You expressly consent to this tracking when you enable on-duty status. You may stop tracking at any time by going "off duty" or by revoking location permission in your device settings.
Location data is retained for a maximum of 24 hours and then automatically deleted. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
If you use Witness Mode to stream video from an emergency scene, you consent to the transmission of video and audio to dispatchers and responding personnel. This media may be used for emergency coordination and clinical governance purposes.
You must not use Witness Mode to record or stream content for personal, social media, or entertainment purposes.
The Green Badge is a dynamic credential verification system. Your Green Badge QR code regenerates every 60 seconds and is intended solely for verification by emergency services personnel at an emergency scene.
You must not share, screenshot, or reproduce your Green Badge for any purpose other than on-scene verification.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ProtaRes Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your breach of these Terms, or your actions during an emergency response.
The App, including its design, code, algorithms (including the Corridor Algorithm, Transport Mode Classifier, Witness Mode, and Green Badge systems), branding, and content, is the intellectual property of ProtaRes Ltd. Patent applications are pending for core technologies.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the App or any of its components.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if:
You may delete your account at any time via Settings > Privacy > Delete Account. Account deletion is subject to a 30-day cooling-off period, after which your personal data will be erased and emergency response records anonymised.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via push notification or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
